NEWHOPE – Ed “Pop” Drye, age 73, of Newhope, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012.

He was born July 29, 1939, at Gould, the son of Roy Delbert and Vinnie Gertrude Roberson Drye.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Becky Drye, of Newhope; four sons, Joe (Johnna) Drye, of Hawaiian Gardens, Calif., David (Barbara) Drye, of Alpine, James (Audrey) Drye and Roy (Kay) Drye, all of Newhope; one daughter, Tina (Delton) Launius, of Newhope; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Pleasant Grove Free Will Baptist Church, Newhope, with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
