MAYFIELD — R.G. “Jiggs” Parsons, 76, of Mayfield died Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at his home. He was the retired owner/operator of Parsons Motor Company; the former manager of Schweer Cadillac and Pontiac of Hot Springs; and a Veteran of the U.S. Army.

Mr. Parsons is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jackie Nichols Parsons; one son, Robert (Amy) Parsons; one daughter, Traci Lee Parsons, of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carlos M. Parsons; his mother, Ellen Choate Parsons Smith; and his stepfather, Victor Smith.

A memorial visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Byrn Funeral Home.
