Thomas (Tom) Embry Hughen, 72, of Hot Springs, passed away on Sept. 25, 2012. He was born on July 21, 1940, in Hot Springs, to the late Irene (Ridgway-Hughen) Hunter and Olin Hughen.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Josie (Dang Thi Tu). Tom met Josie while he served in Vietnam and they were married for over 30 years.

Tom was a graduate of Hot Springs High School, after which he served four years in the Air Force, including a year in Vietnam. He worked as a purchasing agent and a dispatcher for several companies in Hot Springs, including Featherlite Corp.

He is survived by his three brothers, Harley, of Hot Springs, Rich, of Fayetteville, and Raymond, of San Diego.

Memorial contributions may be made to Grand Aveune Methodist Church of Hot Springs.

Internment services will be held at noon on Friday at National Cemetery in Fayetteville.
