Charles D. Hancock
Charles Dayton Hancock, age 74, of Hot Springs, passed away on Oct. 5, 2012.
He was born Jan. 28, 1938, in Bismarck. He graduated from Bismarck High School in 1956.
He married Louise Whitley in 1958 and was a member of the Air National Guard Reserve.
Mr. Hancock is preceded in death by his parents, James Calvin Hancock and Alpha Lee Herrin Hancock, and two brothers, Doyle and Harold Hancock.
He was a born again Christian who attended First Church of the Nazarene. He retired from General Cable and Weyerhaeuser.
Survivors are his wife of 54 years, children, Dewayne (Cindy) Hancock, Lynn (Randy) Outler, Greg (Melanie) Hancock, Shelley (Joe) Greco.
He was a loving Paw-Paw to seven grandchildren, Cheyanne Hancock-Roseberry, Courtney Outler, Bethany Greco-Headrick, Amber Outler, Adrianne Hancock, Austin Greco and Dylan Greco, and three great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his precious siblings, Lorene Whittle, Linda Hardage, Faye Nell Chapmond and Pete Hancock, and several loving nieces and nephews.
Charles was deeply loved and adored by his family and many, many friends.
All his friends and family are welcome to join in a celebration of his life.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Hot Springs Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will be at 142 Ernestway, Hot Springs.
