Richard “Lightning” Lee Woods, 66, of Hot Springs, passed away Nov. 12, 2012. Richard was born Oct. 25, 1946, in St. Louis, Ill. to Jess and Jennie Woods. He is preceded in death by his son, Wess Woods and wife, Bonnie Woods.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Diane Woods, of Hot Springs; brother, Terry Woods; sister, Jessie Woods; niece, Kim Tapio-Nuzzo; three grandsons, Cory Woods, Alex Woods and Trenton Woods; two granddaughters, Kayla and Autumn Woods.

Lightning was a resident of Hot Springs for the past 30 years. He enjoyed collecting and restoring cars.

Burial will be 2 p.m. Friday in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
