Totsie Mae Cooper, age 70, of Hot Springs, formerly of Chicago, Ill., died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, in a local hospital.

She was born Oct. 28, 1942, in Hot Springs, to Frank and Pearl Jones Cooper Sr. They preceded her death as did her sister, Charlene Cooper. She was also predeceased by a nephew and niece, Kenneth and Andrea Scott. She was a 1961 graduate of the Historic Langston High School. Totsie was the owner of Hyde Park Travel of Chicago, Ill., and also worked for the United States government for many years. She was of the Catholic faith.

Her memory will be etched in the heart of her brother, Frank “Bubba” Cooper Jr.; four sisters, Inez Cooper-Milsap, Willye Cooper-Martin, Nannette Cooper-Scott and Barbara Cooper; nieces and nephews, Keith Scott, Angel Calhoun, Regina Milsap, Aprille Martin, Frank Cooper III, Margaret Cooper and Melissa Cooper-Ricks.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3-5 p.m. at 117 Summit St.
