Memorial services for David Engle Mooney, age 40, were held at Lake Cypress Baptist Church in Scroggins, Texas, on Nov. 7.

Mooney was born July 13, 1972, in Hot Springs. He was called from his labor by God on Nov. 1, 2012.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn Mooney; five children, Greyson, Emilo, Sophia, Bianca and Tucker; his mother, Brenda Smoke, of Hot Springs; and his father, Robert Engle, of Longview, Texas; two sisters, Casey Elliott, of San Antonio, and Sherry Zayas, of Jacksonville, N.C.; stepfather, Ken Washington; stepbrother, Michael Washington, of Upper Marlboro, Md.; four nieces and one nephew; and grandmother, Betty Bowden, of Memphis, Tenn.
