AUSTIN, Texas — Billie Helen Green Garrison passed away in Austin, Texas, on Oct. 31, 2012.

She was born in Nashville on May 28, 1931, to Elva and William Green. She went to high school in Mountain Pine and Hot Springs. She met her future husband, John Garrison, at East Mississippi Junior College and they married Aug. 10, 1952.

After college they moved frequently and after retirement settled in Austin, Texas.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, John Garrison; her brother, William; her aunt, Mary Dukes; three sons, Mike, Phillip and David Garrison; daughter-in-law, Jodie; three grandchildren, John, Katie and Craig Garrison; and two step-grandchildren, Will and Brad Angst.

A memorial service was held on Nov. 5, 2012.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice Austin or the Alzheimer’s Association.
