MOUNTAIN PINE – Norman Franklin Varnell, 79, of Mountain Pine, passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012. He was born Aug. 27, 1933, in Paris, Ark., to the late Allie Harrison Varnell and Walter Varnell. He was retired from Weyerhauser.

Predeceased by his parents; brothers, Billy Varnell and Boyd Varnell; and sisters, Hazel Sharp and Beulah Lemonds.

Survivors include his children, Norma (Mike) McGallicher, Jerry (Carla) Varnell, Mark (Debbie) Varnell, Debbie (Fred) Cox; brothers, Donald Ray (Becky) Varnell, Martin (Daisy) Varnell; sisters, Juanita Sloan, Eula Lemonds; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Hot Springs Funeral Home Chapel with Buddy Leamons officiating.

Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial at Godwin Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Clinton Rainwater, Damon Rainwater, Shane Cox, John Hildreth, Stephen DeGrasse and Chris DeGrasse.

Arrangements are by Hot Springs Funeral Home.
