Benjamin F. Terry Sr. “Benny,” 78, of Hot Springs, went to be with the Lord Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, after a courageous fight with several lengthy illnesses, with his loving family by his side. He never gave up.

He was the son of Joe and Hattie Terry. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Leroy Terry Sr., and sister, Helen Daniel.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Wilma Ward Terry; a daughter, Alicia Bishop and a very special grandson, Ian Bishop, that he was so proud of; son, Benjamin Terry Jr. and wife Debby; grandchildren, Eian, Chad and Tiffany Terry and lots of friends and family. He had two darling canines, his best friends, Buddy and Angel. He will be greatly missed. He was truly loved by his family and friends and he will always be in our hearts.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Jess Gideon and W.B. Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Valley Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Larry Terry, Rodney Hurst, Leroy Terry Jr., Dennis Terry, Russell Dunn, Tripp Terry, Clayton Terry, Skip Kirk, Q. Byrum Hurst, and Jack Childs. Honorary pallbearers are Hospice of Central Arkansas, Dewayne Hodges, Harold Nesser, Genesis Cancer Center, Dr. Timothy Webb, Dr. Martin Koehn, Johnny and Barbara Weatherford and Shirley Miller along with Larry and Sherry Warren, Ricky and Anna Daniel and Marty Daniel, all of Tennessee.
