FRIENDSHIP – Gary Wayne Furr, 56, of Friendship, departed this life on Feb. 10, 2013, in Hot Springs. Gary worked with the Arkansas Vending Facility Program for the Blind for 31 years. Gary attended The Church of God in Arkadelphia and was a faithful Christian for many years. He loved Christian music and blessed many people with his ministry of playing the drums for the Lord.

Survivors are his parents, Russell and Leatrice Furr, of the home; two sisters, Rhonda Smith and husband, Dewayne, of Pocahontas, Karen Kight and husband, Dale, of Hot Springs; one brother, Russ Furr and wife, Tonya, of Friendship; three nieces, five nephews; two great-nieces; one great-nephew.

A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Interment will be in Gilchrist Cemetery at Friendship. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
