Norman D. Riggan Sr.
LEOLA — Norman Dale Riggan Sr., age 77, of Leola, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 23, 2013. Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Elton and Helen Riggan, of Brush Creek; grandson, Capt. Anthony Riggan, USAF, and Anthony's wife Nicole, of Rapid City, S.D.
Norman graduated from Leola High School, where he played on the basketball team. He was a delegate to Arkansas Boys State and Senior Class Valedictorian. Norman worked in the dental laboratory industry for almost 60 years. He owned and operated the Riggan Dental Lab in Little Rock and later moved the business to Brush Creek. He was a member of the Como Hunting Club and Bethlehem Masonic Lodge No. 338.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Donna Marie Riggan, of Leola; sons, Norman Dale Riggan Jr., of Pine Bluff, Scott Riggan and wife Kellie, of Greenbrier and Tony Riggan and wife Mary Jane, of Little Rock; sisters, Jasmine Wilson, of Malvern, Elaine Raney, of Fordyce and Pat Riggan, of Brush Creek; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be at Regency Funeral Home from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday, April 26.
Funeral services will be held at Second Baptist Church, in Malvern, at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 27, with Brother Joey McDermott officiating. Burial will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park, in Alexander. Pallbearers will be Bill Keith, Clif Crawford, Dub Stanton, Don Short, Mike Lobb and Charlie Caldwell. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Riggan and Ron Wallace.
