Mary J. Cooper
Mary J. Cooper, 81, of Hot Springs, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013. She was born Nov. 1, 1931, to the late Susie Davis Sweeden and Clyde Sweeden in Gurdon, Ark.
Mrs. Cooper was a retired nurse and a member of National Park Church of Christ. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry V. Cooper Sr.; one son, Gary Cooper; two daughters, Sharon Baugh and Patty Tull; and two brothers, Clyde Sweeden Jr. and John W. Sweeden Sr.
Survivors include three sons, Joe (Alice) Cooper, of Malvern, Harry (Kim) Cooper Jr. and Billy Cooper, all of Hot Springs; two daughters, Mary Jane (Wesley) Sischo and Jane Cooper, all Shreveport, La.; one sister, Lois (Leroy) Jones, of Butler, Mo.; 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Hot Springs Funeral Home. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hot Springs Funeral Home with Allen Coker officiating. Burial will follow at Morning Star Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Simeon Baugh, Wayne Fickle, Ronnie Collum, Bradly Myers, Blake Cooper and Miguel Alvarez.
Honorary pallbearers are Michael Jones, Tad Hatton, Dr. William Wright, Darrel Blunt and the members of National Park Church of Christ.
Arrangements are by Hot Springs Funeral Home.
