Stomp Out Hunger is partnering with local churches to support the Hot Springs Middle School backpack program.

Stomp Out Hunger is a partnership between local churches and business partners established to meet the needs of Garland County residents who need assistance with food. In past years, Stomp Out Hunger partners have been most visible collecting and distributing food just prior to Christmas.

The Hot Springs School District reached out to Stomp Out Hunger this spring for assistance with the middle school's backpack program.

The program sends food home with students each Friday for families who may not get enough to eat over the weekend. The middle school pantry was being depleted.

Stomp Out Hunger partnered with local churches to divide the areas of need. Each church collected one main item.

Churches involved in the drive included Visitor's Chapel AME, National Park Church, Crossgate, Oaklawn Church of God, Lake Valley, The Grove, Encounter Church and LakePointe.
