HSC, GC genealogy societies renew exchange program

For 40 years, the Hot Spring County Historical Society did not have a permanent location for its society. Recently, it purchased a historic building in Malvern to house its collection of books and memorabilia and to serve as a historical/genealogical research library and meeting place. It is located at 118 W. Second St., Malvern.

Following the establishment of this library, The Melting Pot Genealogical Society of Garland County donated duplicate copies of books of historical and genealogical significance to them. The MPGS librarian also shared information on setting up a new library system and other helpful advice. HSCHS and MPGS renewed their exchange program of publications and agreed to attend each other's meetings when possible.
