CONWAY -- The University of Central Arkansas has announced that 1,064 students, including seven new students from Hot Springs, will receive academic scholarships starting fall 2014.
The university awards five different academic scholarships to first-time entering freshmen based on high school grade point average and ACT/SAT scores: Distinguished, Excellence, Achievement, University and Leadership.
Gage Gould and Anthony Peterman are recipients of the Distinguished Scholarship, which awards $4,250 per semester, $8,500 per year for $34,000 over four years.
Laura Lefevre and Breanna Roe received the Achievement Scholarship for $2,500 per semester, $5,000 per year for $20,000 over four years.
Abby Thomas, Courtney Thompson and Alexandria Tillery each received the University Scholarship for $1,500 per semester, $3,000 per year for $12,000 over four years.
