Ballot issues discussed at Democratic Headquarters
State Rep. John Vines, District 25, will lead a discussion about the three ballot issues referred to voters by the Arkansas General Assembly at the Democratic Headquarters, 608 W. Grand, at noon Monday.

AARP driver safety classes offered in HSV
HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE -- An AARP Smart Driver course will be sponsored by Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines at 8 a.m. Wednesday and Good Samaritan Cedar Lodge at noon Thursday. Qualified graduates are eligible for an auto insurance discount.
There is a $15 fee for AARP members and $20 fee for nonmembers to cover course materials. Bring your driver's license and, if applicable, AARP membership card. Call Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines, 922-1333, or Good Samaritan, 915-9118, to enroll.
