HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE -- The Merry Mixers Dance Club will open its fall season Sept. 20 with music by the Mullin Band, starting at 7 p.m. at the Coronado Center.

Club members hold dances twice a month, providing something for everyone including ballroom, swing, Latin, rock, and country music

Dances are at the Coronado Center are held on the first Saturday of the month, from 7-10 p.m. On the third Saturday, a lesson is held at 7 p.m., with dancing from 7:30-10:30 p.m.

First Saturday dances cost $7.50 per person. The cost for the third Saturday session is $10, which includes the dance lesson. Club members get a season discount.

All dancers are welcome, and the gate can be called for access.

Labor Day closings

The Hot Springs Village Administration Building will close Monday in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

For member convenience, Property Owner Services will be open from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Trash will be picked up one day after the normally scheduled time.

There will be no yard waste pick up on Sept. 5.

Tedder to speak

at Builder Series

The next Quarterly Builder Series meeting is set for 3 p.m. Sept. 24 at Coronado Community Center.

Guest speaker Brandon Tedder of Renaissance Homes will discuss new home construction, including the latest new home construction trends, his role in the permitting and inspection process.

An overview of the permitting and inspections process, including the new permitting and inspections online software, will be presented, along with a question-and-answer session afterward.

No swimming in Isabella

during algae treatment

Lake Isabella is being treated for blue green algae. It will take about 10 days for treatment and the lake to return to normal.

Members cannot swim in the lake during the treatment, and the boat ramp will also be closed during that time. The public will be notified when swimming may be safely resumed.
