He and the Boogaloo Blues Band won the 5th Annual International Blues Challenge in 1988. He is a five time Blues Music Award nominee, once for Most Promising Artist and four times for contemporary Male Blues Artist.

11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. -- Blues Gospel, a free workshop with Rachel Fields at the Mountain Tower-Pageant Room at the Austin Convention Hotel & Spa.

12:45-1:45 p.m. -- Keeping the Blues Alive, passing it on to the next generation, a free workshop with Sherree Hughes, Blues In The School coordinator, at the Austin.

1:45-2:45 p.m. -- Photography, telling the story in a digital format, a free workshop with Jenn Ocken at the Austin.

3 p.m. -- Gates open, happy hour at Hill Wheatley Plaza.

4-4:30 p.m. -- Little Roy Gene & Grayson Goff.

4:45-5:30 p.m. -- Charlotte Taylor & Gypsy Rain.

5:45-6:45 p.m. -- Brick Fields & The Chosen Ones.

7-8 p.m. -- Ghost Town Blues Band.

8-9:30 p.m. -- Larry Garner, headline act, left his routine day job to pursue his music career full time in the early 1970s. Since then, he has toured the United States and Europe extensively.

9 p.m. -- After parties in various venues.
