Dear editor:
The etymology of the word "Christian": From the Greek word Christianos, meaning "belonging to," or the "property of." "Christos" from the Greek means "Anointed One." So, to call yourself a Christian means to "belong to" or be "owned by" the Anointed one. How many of those who call themselves Christian today are owned by Christ?
In fact, in an ABC News poll, 83 percent of Americans identify themselves as Christian -- 83 percent.
