Lake Hamilton Intermediate School teacher LeaAnn Ferrell, left, assists Bethany Burton, center, and Makayla Williams with their mathematics assignment in the school's new outdoor classroom, which consists of several picnic tables that are shaded under a new gazebo. The project also included a fish pond, fountain, garden and additional plants. Lake Hamilton received a grant from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission to develop a school habitat-outdoor classroom. The funds were presented through Project WILD, an education program rooted in nature that helps educators bring the outdoors to their students.
