Members of the Disabled American Veterans James L. Whitby Chapter 5 plan to bring Christmas cheer to hospitalized veterans, according to Steve Smith, a board member of the group.
Armed with gift cards to distribute, D.A.V. members will visit the John L. McClellan Veteran's Hospital in Little Rock and Eugene J. Towbin Veteran's Hospital, known as Fort Roots, in North Little Rock on Sunday. They intend go from room to room visiting veterans hospitalized during the holiday season.
Smith said the goal is to make sure all the veterans get a visit for the holiday.
The D.A.V. is accepting donations to be used for the cards. Anyone wishing to contribute can call 760-4648 or stop by the D.A.V. office, 401 Mid-America Blvd.
