Hot Springs police, firefighters and other emergency personnel work the scene of a four-vehicle accident in the eastbound lanes of the King Expressway between Higdon Ferry Road and the McLeod Street exit Wednesday afternoon. Preliminary reports said the accident was caused by a vehicle traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes. The vehicle reportedly hit two other vehicles almost head-on. A wheel came off one of the vehicles and struck the windshield of a car that was traveling in the westbound lane, Hot Springs police Officer 1st Class J. Tinney said.
