The Historic Downtown Farmers & Artisans Market will have extended hours for holiday shopping from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 121 Orange St.

There will be a wide variety of one-of-a-kind gift items and fresh items for a holiday meal.

Sweet potatoes, greens, onions, lettuce, kale, winter squash, radishes and other vegetables will complement traditional fixings.

Locally grown meats, sausages and bacon are the highest quality and can serve as the star of the show or perk up side dishes and breakfast, a news release said.

There will be baked items on hand.

This weekend will also be a special SNAP, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, at the market with farmers and bakers accepting SNAP payments for fresh, healthful, locally grown items.

Ample free parking will be available.
