Reagler attends Heckerling Institute

Karen Baim Reagler, the managing attorney of the Hot Springs and Hot Springs Village offices of Baim, Gunti, Mouser & Worsham, PLC, recently attended the 48th Heckerling Institute of Estate Planning.

The Institute immersed her in a week-long study with the nation's foremost experts in estate planning. Topics included planning with portability, income tax planning, same-sex planning, changing irrevocable trusts, and the impact of the 3.8 percent surtax.

"We discussed ways to take advantage of the $5 million estate tax credit while still protecting assets from creditors and paying as little income tax as possible," she said.

"Laws are always evolving, thus, it is essential for an attorney to stay informed as to the latest estate planning techniques and strategies," the firm's press release said. "Karen is committed to staying abreast of changes in the law and providing the highest quality services specific to clients' individual situations and needs."
