Shelter is overcrowded

Guardian Angels Cat Rescue & Adoption Shelter received a surprise gift a few weeks ago, nine small kittens in a cage left at our front door. One additional small kitten found a few hours later wandering the parking lot in front of our shelter.

Yes, we processed the kittens into our already over-crowed shelter, checked each one for any serious health conditions and placed them in a holding cage.

This may not seem like a big deal, but it is. Every cat we take into the shelter puts an enormous strain on our already tight budget, shelter volunteers, food resources and adds additional stress to the residing cats.

The number of incoming cats drastically out weighs the number of outgoing adopted cats. Guardian Angels can no longer continue down this path, we're in need of assistance from the community we desperately have tried to help.

Assistance in the following: pet owners spay/neutering their animals, regular/core volunteers to work in the shelter/thrift store, monetary/gift donations, bequests, fundraisers and items to be sold in our thrift store.

Feel free to visit our shelter from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday or Saturday and see how your donation will make a difference.
