Fun City scholarship winners named

Fun City Chorus recently named the 2014 winners of its scholarship program.

A successful year allowed the chorus to increase the number of recipients of the award from four students to five.

Chorus patrons supported Fun City's efforts to provide scholarships to eligible students, and their attendance at performances enabled the increase, a news release said.

The chorus will present "Give My Regards to Broadway" at 7 p.m. Sept. 13 at Horner Hall in the Hot Springs Convention Center.

The show will feature the chorus, the Stardust Big Band with Shirley Chauvin, Top of the Rock championship Sweet Adeline chorus, Robert Raines, Tommy Priokos, and master of ceremonies Ken Goodman.

Broadway show songs will be featured by all the groups.

An ensemble consisting of middle school students directed by Tina McGrew will be showcased along with the chorus.

Sponsorships are available and include ticket and advertising.
