HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE -- The July Yard of the Month for Hot Springs Village is the home of Diane and Russ Daniel at 7 Lindo Lane. Seven years ago, when they moved in, there was no landscaping. Two blue Atlas cedars flank the front porch and are enhanced by a ruby Japanese maple. Beds in the terraced front yard are full of perennials, coral bells, oak leaf hydrangeas, coneflowers and daisies.

At the top of the driveway, visitors enter through a gate into the organic vegetable garden where everything is started from seed. Through an arbor into a secret garden patterned after one they saw in Savannah, Ga., are pots of all sizes filled with perennials, annuals and unusual greens. There are daylily next to the fountain that is lemon yellow with a maroon center, an agapanthus, naked ladies and lots of succulents. Diane Daniels's favorite plant in back is a Japanese bell tree. If you want to experience a garden that wastes no space and is full of charm, have a look at this one.
