Dear editor: See good things in life

Dear editor:

Though this world has evil in it, there is an amount of goodness, mercy, truth and love. Though there are people who refuse to face the truth, many of us do, then do what we can to help the circumstance.

Though there is illness in this life, as nobody is immune, there is a consistent mercy in life's corridors, when we look at the good places and good people.

Though we yearly pay for taxes and money is a necessity, we do need to have firemen, police, mayors, governors, streets paved, the garbage collected and pay for food, gas and water.

Love and appreciation is not bought by money. Being kind is a choice "how to be." Helping the blind, assisting opening doors or visiting rest homes is a call one can make and do. Life needs love, appreciation, mercy and kindness. Don't you feel that way also?

Have you called anyone recently to tell them "I'm thinking of you"? Have you pitched in and loaned a cup of sugar or giving ice? Have you recently mailed a nice note to anyone to thank them that they are a friend? Why don't you?

Being a dreamer is not a doer. Take courage and make situations more right. Everyone can see the good things in life, when they look for them, you can, too. I dare your goodness, kindness and mercy to be shown.
