Happy first anniversary, Safe Haven

Safe Haven Shelter for Women and Children will celebrate one year of successfully providing shelter to homeless women and their children from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday on its upper parking lot at 110 High Rise Circle, off Spring Street. Volunteers will serve a choice of barbeque or hot dog plates with chips, a drink and cookies for $5 each. The Salvation Army will have its canteen on hand. Barbeque is provided by Stubby's, hot dogs by Randall's Meat Co., drinks by 1st Network Insurance, cookies and lemonade by Mercy Hospital Hot Springs. Call 276-7750 for information. All funds will assist Safe Haven Shelter help women and children achieve a better life.
