HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE -- Members of Crystal Chimes Chorus are busy preparing for their production of "Mardi Gras or Bust" on Sept. 20.

The chorus, led by Margaret Kresse, director, and assistant directors Betty Laird and Anne Bowes, will entertain with four-part barbershop harmony.

"Costumes are ready, dancers have practiced, singers know their songs, and quartets are prepared. Soon, it will be show time," Kresse said.

The performance will begin at 7 p.m. Sept. 20 at Woodlands Auditorium.

The chorus will travel to New Orleans to participate in a Mardi Gras Ball as part of the storyline. Certifiable, a men's barbershop chorus from Fun City Chorus, will sing a selection of songs from the past. Dixieland Band will present soul-stirring sounds of brass harmony.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased from Kathy Skinner at 972-978-3874, Joan Voeks at 915-8073, or online at http://www.HSVTicketSales.com. The ticket office will be open beginning at 6 p.m. on show day. A silent auction will be available for guests to browse, shop, and bid on their favorite items.

Guest Day will be held at 1 p.m. Sept. 30 at Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church on Balearic Road. The chorus will begin practicing for its Christmas show, scheduled for Dec. 8 at the Coronado Center, and refreshments will be served.
