Library offers adults guitar basics

The Garland County Library will offer a series of beginning guitar classes for adults taught by Bobby Rogers starting on Oct. 2.

"Learn Guitar Basics" will offer students an introduction to major and minor chords, rhythms, and basic songs.

"Music is a great way to connect with others," says Cori Williams, a clerk at Garland County Library.

"Many people have wanted to get into such a hobby, and this class could be the opportunity."

Students are required to bring their own acoustic guitar to the series of classes.

Advance registration is required.

The classes will start at 6 p.m. on Thursdays and will last approximately an hour.

The class will meet Oct. 2, 9, 16, 30, and Nov. 6 and 20. The class is designed for students aged 18 and up.

A $20 course fee is due at the time of registration.

Call the library at 623-4161 or 501-922-4483 for more information.
