3rd Fridays at FAC features art historian and blues

The September 3rd Fridays@FAC event will feature an art presentation with art historian Emily Gerhold and an acoustic blues concert with Brent Frazier and Tara Riley Thompson.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at the Fine Arts Center of Hot Springs, 626 Central Ave.

Gerhold will give a quick tour of abstract art and how color, line, and form create a landscape of beauty

The lecture will be held in the gallery that showcases the contemporary abstract art exhibition "Color, Line, & Form," including works of art from artists across the United States.

An acoustic concert with Brent & Tara will follow the lecture at 7 p.m.

Frazier has worked with many international artists, performing in major venues in many countries, including two sold-out shows at Red Rocks in Denver. He is credited on more than 400 albums, thousands of studio projects and countless shows.

Thompson for the last three years has been playing clubs in Dallas and surrounding areas with "a true passion for the stage."
