Ike Moore, right, and Trish Moore, of Scottsboro, Ala., lead a group of riders out of the Oaklawn Racing & Gaming parking lot on Monday to begin the final leg of the 21st Annual Trail of Tears Commemorative Motorcycle Ride. The ride originated in Chattanooga, Tenn., and concludes in Oklahoma. Organizers say the event is held to raise public awareness for the 1830s removal of Indian tribes living east of the Mississippi River to what is now Oklahoma in a journey known as the "Trail of Tears."
