Pancake breakfast to benefit Area Agency on Aging

According to a recent study, more than one-third of seniors in Arkansas go hungry each day. A group of seniors and staff at the Country Club Village senior living community in Hot Springs have sprung into action to help raise funds to feed hungry seniors in their neighborhood by holding a "Drive In to Drive Out Hunger" fundraiser.

On Wednesday, from 7-10 a.m., the community may "drive in" for a pancake and sausage breakfast with a donation of $5 purchased before, or $6 on the day of the event.

Tickets are available to purchase before the event by calling 624-6435.

Country Club Village has teamed with the Area Agency on Agency for this event. All funds will go to the agency, and will immediately go toward feeding hungry seniors in the Hot Springs area. The organizers hope to raise at least $5,000.

Several government officials are scheduled to attend.

Country Club Village is located at 1925 Malvern Ave.
