Garland County sheriff's Cpl. Fred Hawthorn, left, assists as Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Cpl. Jeremy Whiley places a small American alligator in the back of his vehicle after it was located inside an apartment complex on Akers Road Tuesday. Sheriff's deputies had responded to the residence to assist in a civil matter and found the reptile.
