Don Juan Mexican Bar & Grill open in Indiandale

Don Juan Mexican Bar & Grill is another enterprise of Manuel De La Paz, who, with hard work, established two other restaurants in Hot Springs. Along with his wife and children, he has worked endless hours preparing recipes to make his restaurants a success.

Don Juan Mexican Bar & Grill recently opened its doors for business in the Indiandale Shopping Center on Malvern Avenue after two years of scrutinous planning. The restaurant offers an extensive menu of Mexican cuisine with an array of spicy creations from the family's kitchen in Michoacán, Mexico. New dishes have been added such as the fajitas Pacífico, which includes scallops, crab, tilapia and shrimp -- a seafood lover's delight. For the vegetable lovers, Don Manuel added a generous portion of vegetables to the already heaping selections. They offer an entire page of new desserts that will get the sweet tooth going. The piña colada cake, along with the chocolate Kahlúa cake, have become the people's favorite. De La Paz believes that everyone who comes to his restaurant should leave happy.

A new kid's coloring menu has been added and now every selection includes a kid-size drink. Other new features are Mexican beer on tap, specialty tropical cocktails and Mexican natural waters.

De La Paz did not spare any expense with the decorating, for he used a natural rock décor for the interior. He carefully and meticulously placed each rock in its place until attaining the old world-style he wanted. Patrons sit in the new brown/beige booths and chairs sporting a cushiony bottom as they eat their burritos, tacos and fajitas.

The bar located in the center of the dining area is ample and beautifully decorated. The granite countertop, the rock wall and the black concrete polished floor complement each other delightfully. "The handcrafted margaritas taste enchanting, whether drinking them at the bar or at the outdoor patio," said De La Paz in the release.

Don Juan Mexican Bar & Grill opened its door on Malvern Avenue to serve the community of the local businesses and for their convenience. "That is why we offer delivery service for orders of eight people or more. We want to be an asset to the neighborhood," said Lorena De La Paz, the restaurant's manager.

The De La Paz family welcomes the public to come and visit their new location. They promise that their patrons will not be disappointed. Keep an eye out for coupons in The Sentinel-Record each week.

Hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, closed on Sunday.
