Jessieville High School freshman Chloe Davis was chosen for a Gold Key Award after submitting two poems to the Scholastic Art and Writing Contest in New York. Out of 300,000 works submitted in 28 categories, 17,526 were chosen for Gold Key awards. Davis submitted one of only two poems from Arkansas of the 1,165 total poems in the contest, which has recognized some of America's most celebrated writers while they were teenagers in its 92-year history.
