Stacy Ferguson has joined the staff of Timberline Truck and Tractor as the new office administrator.

Raised in northeast Arkansas, she moved to California after getting married and attended American River College in Sacramento where she studied accounting. She worked at Gamboa's Body and Frame as the office manager for eight years.

The Fergusons moved back to Arkansas where Stacy Ferguson joined her husband working for industrial construction companies. She has spent the last 25-plus years as field human resources, payroll, procurement and construction management manager.

She moved to Hot Springs when her husband got transferred to the Entergy plant outside of Malvern.

"I was lucky enough to get to pick and choose where I wanted to work. I interviewed at Timberline Truck and Tractor because I wanted to help small businesses for a change," she said in the release. "After meeting with the people here and researching the life of the company, I chose Timberline. I enjoy working with everyone here and they are all like a family. You know you are working at a good company when there are several employees who have been there for 20-plus years. They take pride in their work and in helping people get what they need. I look forward to the next 40 years."

Local AT&T employee

given PVS Award

AT&T recognized Todd Gregory, of Hot Springs, as one of 24 employees in Arkansas being honored with the President's Volunteer Service Award for giving their time to better the communities around them.

The PVSA gives U.S. Presidential recognition to individuals who have demonstrated commitment to volunteerism and encourages others to live a life of service. AT&T employees logged in a minimum of 100 hours in service to others last year, with some employees volunteering more than 500 hours to receive the Gold Award.

Over time, these moments of giving can add up to millions of service hours. AT&T employees and retirees have volunteered more than 5.6 million hours in 2014 alone.

PVSA is an initiative of the Corporation for National and Community Service and is administered by Points of Light. With a shared mission of inspiring more to answer the call to service, PVSA celebrates the impact we can all make in bettering our communities and the world. The award is available on an annual basis and is an honor that every American -- from youths to seniors -- can participate in and be recognized by thes president for their dedication to volunteerism.

To be eligible to receive the award, AT&T submits a record of employees' annual volunteer service hours to be verified and considered eligible for the award.
