Since retiring from the National Football League, where he played on two Super Bowl-winning teams in 10 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, Harris has become a major FCA supporter. Former Cowboys Hall of Fame coach Tom Landry helped found the Hot Springs Village tournament, a cause Harris championed after Landry's death.

A former Hot Springs resident, Harris walked on with the Cowboys in 1970 after an award-winning career at Ouachita Baptist University. The Arkadelphia school named Cliff Harris Stadium in his honor last year.

Grant Teaff, executive director of the American Football Coaches Association since 1993, is featured speaker at the South Central Region's annual banquet Friday night in Horner Hall at Hot Springs Convention Center.

Teaff joined the AFCA in an executive capacity after 37 years in coaching, leading Baylor to Southwest Conference championships and its first two Cotton Bowl appearances in 1974 and 1980. He was AFCA Coach of the Year in 1974, when Baylor defeated Texas for the first time in 17 years. Teaff was inducted to the College Football Hall of Fame in 2001.
