Lake Catherine studio takes part in Arts & The Park tour

Turtles, clouds and shipwrecks are just part of the "Out of the Blue" exhibit to be held at Blue Rock Studio and Gallery, on Lake Catherine, at 262 Hideaway Hills Drive. Owner and artist Barbara Cade has even made special blue rock rattles for the occasion. The show will be up during the entire month of May, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.

Exhibiting in the show will be local artists Jeri Hillis, Pat Langewis, Nan Merchant, Carol Small and Daryl Wedwick. Work from Louise Halsey, of Ozark, Deborah Kuster, from Conway, and Karen McInturff, of Centralia, Wash., will also be displayed. Artists interpret the theme any way they wish -- through paintings, fiber art and multimedia work.

During Arts & The Park's Celebration of the Arts studio tour on Saturday and Sunday, Cade will be making handmade felt for her artwork. Visitors will also be welcome to make a small piece of felt for themselves.

Gifts of all kinds and for all ages will be available, along with a sale table.
