Mary Jane Attwood prepares books for the AAUW Second Chance Book Sale to be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 31 at Unitarian Universalist Village Church, 403 Barcelona Road, Hot Springs Village. Bags will be sold for $5 each, and shoppers can fill the bag with books. Books available include a variety of fiction, nonfiction material, children's, mysteries, cookbooks, war, crafts, gardening, social studies, nature and science. The proceeds will fund scholarships for local women. For 20 years, Hot Springs/Hot Springs Village AAUW has worked to fund scholarships at National Park Community College.
