Clean hands

Rachel Reeves' fourth-grade science class at Lake Hamilton Intermediate School learned about the importance of proper hand-washing and how easy it is to spread germs. They dipped their hands in baby powder, shook hands with each other and then placed their "germy" hands on black paper. After seeing how many different "germs" were on their hands, the students practiced proper hand-washing techniques. Junior Favors, front, and Heavenly Watson place their hands on the black paper to show how many germs they picked up just from shaking hands with their classmates. Submitted photo
