Lake Hamilton alum Mary Kate Tucker, front, took the opportunity to travel to Japan last summer to work on her undergraduate research in a lab at Okayama Medical School. She is currently a junior at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville studying Biochemistry. She was given the opportunity to work for three months with one of the leaders in the field of Biochemical Microbiology and experience the culture of Japan.
