Dear editor:
I wish to thank the garbage collectors who called in that my storage shed was on fire. I know that they were working a holiday schedule and normally would not have been on my street at that time. Calling the fire department (and their quick response) saved me, my dog, cat and parrot. Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart.
All the first responders who had to practically break down my door to get my attention, thank you for your persistence. I want everyone in Hot Springs to give a big salute to any fire personnel or refuse collector, any and all you meet. Your life may be the one they save.
