Construction work began on the Hot Springs Middle School wetland ecosystem project in June. An area of about 7,000 square feet near the rear of Hot Springs Intermediate School will be transformed into a wetland area to benefit the environment and be used as an outdoor classroom. Middle school EAST student Ethan Lyles dedicated about 400 hours over the course of two school years to initiating the project.
