A 32-year-old man was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with theft by receiving.
James Edward Alann Thalacker Jr., of Royal, remained in custody Thursday on no bond. He is due in Garland County District Court on July 21.
Law enforcement officers received a call in reference to a vehicle in a parking lot at 3040 Albert Pike Road. According to an incident report, the Oklahoma plates on the vehicle returned as stolen. The property owner stated the driver was in an R.V. park with his father and the park manager told the suspect, later identified as Thalacker, he could not park in the lot of the restaurant and he would have to move the vehicle.
Thalacker was moving the vehicle when deputies arrived and stopped him. The vehicle was confirmed as stolen and Thalacker was placed into custody and transported to the Garland County Detention Center.
