TV ads grab attention

Dear editor:

I was just wondering how many TV watchers pay attention to all the commercials they have to listen to for a favorite program. Some of them can drive you crazy and you hope you never have to hear or see them again. Then there are others that just melt your heart. For instance, the one with the young mother holding her new born with Pampers on, assuring her baby of her love and she will always take care of her.

Ads don't have to be stupid, but the one with the "Cone Heads" calling Jake at "Planet State Farm" asking about his insurance and what khakis are, the questions and answers are hilarious.

Don't you love the car ad from Everett Buick in Benton on I-30, showing us how Bo, their pet schnauzer, takes care of business as he watches over the help and his work is cheap, only a doggy treat his pay?

Then there is the news with David Muier that shows us the proud Americans who are so happy in their jobs and exclaiming with great joy, "Made in America." I never get tired of hearing this. It's the one thing that will bring our country back to its wonderful self.

God bless America. Happy Fourth of July.
