Community Services Office, 600 W. Grand Ave., will take applications for the summer home energy program beginning Monday. Applications will be taken from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday only.
Applications to potential eligible senior citizens and disabled households have already been mailed. Because of new requirements, current copies of Entergy Arkansas Inc. and CenterPoint Energy bills, or propane and electricity bills, must be sent with applications. Send copies, because bills will not be returned. Only Entergy will be paid.
Applicants should bring proof of T.E.A. payment, VA, child support, unemployment, workers' compensation, Social Security and retirement benefits, public housing utility assistance, and earned or unearned income and checking and savings bank statements from the previous month.
