Faith and government

Dear editor:

We are at a time the Republicans and Democrats have people declared to run for president.

It is a privilege we, as Americans, have in our country, to vote! Yet, our government has become socialistic!

The government is into almost everything, will my back door be next? It isn't now a republic.

Being a believer in God and Christ, freedom of religion is very important to me. Will churches start being told what to do and not to do? Will churches start being taxed?

Our forefathers were Christians. They did not want interference from England when settling her. The statement "separation of church and state" is only a quote from a speech. It isn't in our Bill of Rights.

The separation of "church and state" refers to separation from England's church, not ours. When that was stated in those days, almost all were believers, Christians. Is that mentioned in the history classes at schools?

Congress begins each day with a prayer. It isn't right that students can't pray at a school! Congress does at work! Why not follow Congress' example, people, now write to your congressman stating you want prayer put back in schools and that man was once an ape is only theory. Do apes have souls?
